Shosho Mobile is a dynamic South African company founded in 2018. Our mission is to deliver top-tier website design, hosting, and specialized IT services at affordable rates, catering not only to the local South African market but also to clients worldwide.
Our Name
Our name (pronounced Shore Shore Mobile) is derived from a locally renowned South African song ‘Shosholoza’, often referred to as South Africa’s second National Anthem. ‘Shosholoza’ is a traditional miner’s song, originally sung by groups of men from the Ndebele ethnic group that travelled by steam train from their homes in Zimbabwe (formerly known as Rhodesia) to work in South Africa’s diamond and gold mines. The term ‘Sho Sho’, or just ‘Sho’, has also become a very popular greeting in South Africa, and means ‘Hello’ or ‘Howzit?’.
